GED Testing, Adult Education and Tutoring, and Budgeting/Financial Literacy


We assist clients with locating employment, earning their GED, and exploring additional credentialing/certifications to enhance employability and move upward on one’s Career Pathway.


Locations

Employment, Advancement, and Retention Network (EARN):

Available in Bedford, Blair, and Fulton Counties.


HiSET Testing/GED:

Available in Bedford, Fulton, and Huntingdon Counties.

What is the EARN Program?

The EARN program provides assessment, job counseling, job search, self-development and training to individuals referred by the Department of Human Services.


Who is eligible for the EARN Program?

Bedford, Blair, and Fulton County residents referred by County Assistance Office. Client must be receiving TANF and have a child(ren). Client must have an expectation of gaining employment within 6 months


What is the HiSET Testing/GED Program?

Tutoring is available to prepare individuals to take the HiSet or GED test. HiSet is a Department of Education approved High School Equivalency Test (HiSET). It is similar to the GED but is offered as a paper test. Tests are scheduled monthly or as needed.


Who is eligible for the HiSET Testing/GED Program?

Individuals residing in Bedford, Fulton, or Huntingdon Counties, ages 18 to 59, at 125% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Must have proof of identification.
