Blair County Point-in-Time Count January 21, 2026
November 13, 2025
Winter is approaching fast and so is the 2026 Point-in-Time Count. A Point-in-Time count is a count of literally homeless individuals in our community. We count the number of homeless individuals on one night in winter to better understand the needs and circumstances of those sleeping outside or in places that are not meant for human habitation. The Point-in-Time count ideally includes a brief survey that is conducted by volunteers and includes questions about basic information and where the individual intends to sleep for the night.
On January 21, 2026, Center for Community Action will be conducting HUD's annual survey of literally homeless individuals in Blair county. Volunteers will survey and provide care packages to unsheltered individuals and families in our community.
To reach as many individuals as possible, we are looking for both volunteers and donations for the care packages. If you would like to learn more about how you can help with the 2026 Point-in-Time Count, please reach out to Victoria at Center for Community Action - 814-946-3651 or via email at vbowser@ccaofpa.org.
