Huntingdon County COVID-19 Resources

Several Huntingdon County community groups  are working together to provide community and social services contact information for citizens, businesses and organizations.  One of the resource contacts is a long time program, the other two are being developed specially in response to the current COVID-19 outbreak.

They are: 

PA 2-1-1;  211 is a free, confidential referral and information helpline and website that connects people of all ages and from all communities to the essential health and human services they need, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

211 is available in Huntingdon County.  You can also text your zip code to 898211 or go their website https://www.uwp.org/211gethelp/ 

Huntingdon County United Way Office; they are setting up a Covid-19 emergency fund with a primary focus on helping with food needs. Their phone number is 643-3142.

Huntingdon County Strong;  a project of Huntingdon County Chamber of Commerce.  Huntingdon County Strong is a resource for businesses and the public. It currently has four sections, the first one being about restaurants that are offering takeout, delivery and curbside pickup. The site also has information on business closing and other business news, resources for businesses to keep them informed, and a page with tools for working remotely. Human Services Hub; a project of the Center for Community Action.  The hub is for public use, acting as a central point for all social services in Huntingdon County and the other counties CCA serves.  The hub connects you to help for things like child care, health care, and public housing.  The website is: www.centerforcommunityaction.org/human-services-hub  The CCA Huntingdon County office phone number is 643-4202.
